Role Overview
Ark Infotech Spectrum is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java & C++ Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Mahwah, New Jersey. This is a critical onsite position designed for a software engineering professional who possesses a deep understanding of business deliverables and a passion for modernizing legacy systems. As a senior member of the development group, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between complex business requirements and high-performance technical implementations. You will leverage your extensive background in both Java and C++ to deliver elite solutions that transform our clients’ businesses in today’s hypercompetitive marketplace. This role requires a developer who is not only proficient in coding but also capable of understanding the ‘why’ behind every change, ensuring that technical debt is addressed and systems are modernized using the latest industry standards and AI-assisted tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive systems and requirements analyses to identify actionable project items and technical roadmaps.
- Create detailed task lists, cost estimates, and time projections to support robust project plan development and stakeholder expectations.
- Review and compile project issues to facilitate effective resolutions and minimize downtime in production environments.
- Monitor all project activities to ensure strict compliance with I.S. governance, industry standards, and corporate policies.
- Participate in the definition and development of technical specifications for large-scale, mission-critical applications.
- Analyze and translate logical designs into efficient physical designs, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Assess detailed designs and documentation to ensure perfect alignment with evolving business requirements and client needs.
- Define interfaces among various system components to ensure seamless interoperability across a diverse technology stack.
- Evaluate emerging vendor technologies and recommend potential products for integration into the client’s ecosystem to drive innovation.
- Lead peer reviews and code audits to ensure that all requirements are met and best practices are consistently followed.
- Develop and maintain rigorous system documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and effective knowledge transfer within the team.
- Create unit test plans and review documented results to ensure software quality and requirement fulfillment before deployment.
- Produce integration test specifications, conduct tests, record failures, and perform deep-dive fault diagnoses to maintain system integrity.
- Define and administer procedures to monitor systems performance and integrity in real-time, ensuring high availability.
- Perform application maintenance and support functions, documenting all activities for quality control and future reference.
- Execute business continuity and disaster recovery activities to ensure that availability requirements are met under all circumstances.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of advanced proficiency in Java (version 11 or higher) and C++, with a proven track record of success.
- Over 4 years of experience specifically building complex, scalable, and high-performance enterprise applications.
- Expertise in Spring Boot and the design/implementation of advanced microservices architectures.
- Strong command of SQL Server for database design, optimization, and complex query management.
- Proficiency in Linux environments, including shell scripting and system-level configurations for application hosting.
- Experience with Angular or other modern Full Stack technologies is highly preferred to support end-to-end feature development.
- Familiarity with AI tools and their application in modernizing codebases and improving developer productivity.
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies in a professional setting.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
- Proven ability to understand the business context of technical changes and align them with long-term strategic goals.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Ability to work onsite in Mahwah, NJ, and integrate into a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year
