Role Overview: ServiceNow CMDB Architect
Hallmark Global Solutions is seeking a ServiceNow CMDB Architect for a long-term contract position onsite in Culver City, CA. This pivotal role is responsible for defining and governing the enterprise-wide Configuration Management Database (CMDB) strategy. The Architect will ensure that configuration data is accurate, complete, and perfectly aligned with both business and operational requirements. This position demands a blend of architectural leadership, governance oversight, and deep technical mastery of the ServiceNow platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the enterprise CMDB strategy, ensuring alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) 4.0/5.0 frameworks.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping to automate the identification of configuration items (CIs).
- Establish and enforce governance standards for the CI lifecycle, including identification, control, status accounting, and verification.
- Configure and manage the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) to maintain data integrity across multiple data sources.
- Design and implement normalization and reconciliation rules to ensure consistency across the CMDB.
- Build and maintain CMDB health dashboards to monitor data quality, completeness, and compliance.
- Develop automated remediation workflows to address data gaps and inconsistencies identified through health monitoring.
- Utilize Service Graph Connectors and IntegrationHub to integrate third-party data sources into the ServiceNow ecosystem.
- Collaborate with ITSM and ITOM process owners to ensure the CMDB supports incident, change, and problem management effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Expert-level knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
- Proven experience in architecting large-scale CMDB solutions for global enterprises.
- Deep understanding of ITIL processes and their practical application within the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong hands-on experience with IntegrationHub and Service Graph Connectors for complex data integrations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.
- Ability to work onsite in Culver City, CA, as part of a collaborative project team.
Professional Experience
- Extensive background in IT Infrastructure and Operations Management (ITOM).
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling CMDB governance programs.
- Experience in automated remediation and workflow automation within ServiceNow.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex data reconciliation issues.
Special Requirements
Onsite requirement in Culver City, CA; Contract role.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year
