We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Consultant specializing in Oracle Financials Cloud (Fusion) to lead complex, end-to-end implementations for our premier clients. This role requires a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the Oracle ecosystem, specifically within a high-level consultancy environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success with Big 4 consulting firms, demonstrating the ability to design and implement sophisticated financial solutions that align with global business objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Scope
- Lead the full lifecycle implementation and upgrade of Oracle Fusion Financial modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), Tax, and Expenses.
- Architect and configure financial setups, including complex charts of accounts, payment terms, multi-level approval workflows, and advanced accounting rules.
- Drive operational efficiency through the automation of invoice processing, vendor payments, and inventory valuation.
- Integrate Oracle Financials with third-party supply chain and financial tools such as Highradius, Blackline, TM1, Concur, Kyriba, and Vertex.
- Focus on the Wholesale Distribution sector, aligning Oracle Financials with operations such as inventory valuation, landed cost calculations, rebates, and margin analysis.
- Collaborate extensively with supply chain and inventory teams to ensure seamless financial integration across Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycles.
- Support financial compliance and reporting for distribution-specific metrics, including gross margin by SKU, vendor funding, and freight allocation.
Strategic Collaboration and Compliance
- Partner with executive business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and external consultants to deliver scalable, high-performance financial solutions.
- Ensure all financial systems and processes comply with GAAP, SOX, and rigorous internal audit requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, test scripts, and change management protocols.
- Facilitate high-impact workshops, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions, and comprehensive training programs for finance and operations teams.
Desirable Skills and Cross-Platform Expertise
While the primary focus is Oracle Cloud, expertise in payroll processing for US and Mexico associates within on-premise SAP HCM or Employee Central Payroll (ECP) is highly desirable. Candidates should be comfortable interacting with business users to translate requirements into functional specifications, configuring SAP HCM or SuccessFactors, and working with technical developers to deliver end-to-end solutions. Familiarity with Kronos Workforce Central for time capture and manager approvals is also a significant plus.
