Role Overview

The Process Integration Engineer is a pivotal role within our high-performance technical team, specifically focused on the semiconductor industry in Temecula, California. This position is designed for a professional who excels in developing production-ready, repeatable, and high-yielding processes for state-of-the-art devices used in high-speed communications. As we move into 2026, the complexity of these devices requires a deep understanding of dielectric deposition, metal deposition, CMP, and advanced lithography techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end process flow, ensuring that every module from etch to thin films works in harmony to produce superior silicon results. This is not just a maintenance role; it is an innovation-heavy position where you will be expected to push the boundaries of what is possible in semiconductor fabrication. You will work with a highly motivated team on differentiated and disruptive technologies that are set to redefine the industry standards for speed and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive integration plans and schedules using established manufacturing tools and processes.
  • Strongly manage and understand all major process modules including dry-etch, wet-etch, films, and lithography.
  • Correlate output device parameters to inline factory measurements, metrics, and processes to ensure peak performance.
  • Provide detailed reports and data-driven proposals for process changes or performance improvement projects.
  • Work closely with Operation and Process Engineering Development organizations to align on strategic goals.
  • Actively drive partners and vendors to meet critical milestones and resolve technical roadblocks in real-time.
  • Analyze metrology results and disposition lots based on rigorous data analysis and pass/fail criteria.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and statistical tools to optimize yield and reduce waste.

Technical Requirements and Competencies

  • Extensive hands-on knowledge of dielectric deposition, metal deposition, CMP, and photolithography.
  • Knowledge of advanced semiconductor processing, integration, and device design is highly preferred.
  • Candidates with expertise in Front End (FEOL), Back End (BEOL), MEMS, and photonics are encouraged to apply.
  • Broad expertise in dry/wet-etch, deposition, thin films, and metrology is very helpful for this role.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize activities, performing and monitoring multiple overlapping tasks to meet goals.
  • Background in device physics and experience with process and device simulation tools.
  • Strong ownership and responsiveness in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for technical reporting and team collaboration.

Environment and Future Outlook

Working in our Temecula facility offers an opportunity to be at the forefront of disruptive technologies. The environment is a dynamic, high-motivation setting where engineers are encouraged to collaborate across multiple internal groups. We value strong ownership, responsiveness, and the ability to lead technical teams through complex challenges. This 6-month contract is a chance to contribute to highly differentiated products that are shaping the future of global communications infrastructure. In the 2026 landscape, the integration of AI-driven metrology and automated process control is becoming standard, and familiarity with these tools will be a significant advantage. We are looking for a visionary engineer who doesn’t just follow a recipe but understands the underlying physics to innovate and improve every step of the fabrication process. The role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in the cleanroom environment.
