Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UI/UX Developer for a critical project in Raleigh, North Carolina. This onsite role is part of the Child Support System Enhancement Effort, a high-impact initiative dedicated to modernizing legacy mainframe systems into sophisticated, web-based platforms. As a senior member of the development team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end UI/UX design process, ensuring that the transition from legacy JSP screens to modern interfaces is seamless, accessible, and user-centric.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of modern, responsive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
- Architect and develop front-end components using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js to replace legacy mainframe functionality.
- Create comprehensive wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and robust design systems that prioritize usability and human-centered design principles.
- Ensure strict compliance with WCAG accessibility standards across all digital touchpoints to support diverse user needs.
- Integrate front-end interfaces with Java-based backend systems and RESTful APIs, collaborating closely with backend engineering teams.
- Leverage cutting-edge AI tools (e.g., Figma AI, Uizard, ChatGPT, CoPilot) to optimize design workflows, automate recommendations, and enhance development efficiency.
- Optimize application performance for cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) collaborations.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 5-6 years of professional experience in UI/UX-focused full-stack development.
- Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and Bootstrap (6+ years required).
- Proven track record with modern JS frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue (3+ years required).
- Extensive experience in UI/UX design, including wireframing and prototyping (3+ years required).
- Strong background in Unit and UI Testing using tools such as Jasmine, Jest, or Selenium (3+ years required).
- Demonstrated experience with Responsive Design (2+ years required).
- Familiarity with AI-driven development practices and DevOps pipelines (Git, CI/CD).

Compensation & Location
Salary: $115,000 – $165,000 per year (Estimated)
