Role Overview: Lead Java Developer
Clevanoo LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Java Developer for a long-term contract position based in Manassas, VA. This is a hybrid role that requires the candidate to work onsite at our downtown Manassas office. As a Lead Developer, you will not only be responsible for high-level technical contributions but also for managing and mentoring a team of developers to ensure the successful delivery of enterprise-grade software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Java-based applications.
- Manage a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews.
- Architect and build robust, scalable RESTful APIs to support various business functions.
- Utilize the Spring Boot framework to develop microservices and enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and QA engineers, in an Agile environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring high performance and reliability of applications.
- Drive best practices in software development, including unit testing, continuous integration, and documentation.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
- Proven expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Extensive experience with the Spring Boot framework and microservices architecture.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions.
- Proficiency with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8+ years of professional experience in enterprise software development.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a collaborative team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
