Position Summary: Middleware Administrator
Valzo Soft Solutions is looking for a dedicated Middleware Administrator to support our client’s infrastructure in Irving, TX. This onsite contract role focuses on the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Tomcat, Weblogic, and Apache environments. You will be responsible for ensuring the high availability and security of enterprise-level middleware components.
Core Responsibilities:
- Certificate Management: Handle the end-to-end lifecycle of SSL/TLS certificates, including renewal requests, F5 load balancer coordination, and implementation of change requests.
- Vulnerability Management: Perform regular patching and upgrades to mitigate security risks. Participate in vulnerability assessment meetings and develop procedures for non-production trials.
- System Health & Monitoring: Conduct manual and automated health checks for supported websites. Utilize tools like Dynatrace and Windows Performance Monitor to assess application health and performance.
- Migrations & Installations: Lead the installation and configuration of products like Tomcat, Domino, and Vice Versa. Work with architects to design and build production environments.
- Application Deployment: Manage the deployment of application artifacts, perform code comparisons, and execute server restarts while ensuring minimal downtime.
- Incident & Problem Resolution: Provide Tier 2/3 support for middleware incidents. Perform root cause analysis, determine workarounds, and manage emergency changes.
- Batch & File Transfer Support: Monitor and maintain file transfer jobs and batch schedules, ensuring data integrity and timely processing.
Technical Qualifications:
- Proven experience in administering Apache Tomcat, Oracle Weblogic, and Apache HTTP Server.
- Familiarity with F5 Big-IP for traffic management and certificate offloading.
- Experience with monitoring solutions such as Dynatrace or similar APM tools.
- Knowledge of Windows services, file system maintenance, and log management.
- Ability to coordinate with vendors for product support and contract renewals.
Professional Expectations:
As a Middleware Admin, you will be expected to participate in production cutover planning and provide hypercare support following major changes. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, participating in Teams channel discussions, and cross-training team members on environmental changes. This role requires a high degree of technical precision and the ability to work independently on complex service requests.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $125,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
