Role Overview

The Oracle Cloud HCM Integrations Developer is a critical technical role focused on the design, development, and deployment of complex data exchanges within the Oracle Fusion ecosystem. This position is specifically tailored for a “builder” who excels in hands-on engineering rather than simple functional configuration. Located in Wilmington, MA, this hybrid role requires three days of onsite collaboration at Unifirst, a leader in the textile and uniform services industry. The project spans a minimum of 12 months, focusing on a large-scale enterprise HCM initiative.

Technical Requirements and AI Integration

Candidates must possess over 8 years of dedicated experience in Oracle Cloud HCM integrations. A unique and non-negotiable requirement for this role is proficiency with AI-assisted development tools, specifically Claude. The team aims to build integrations at 2-3x the traditional velocity, leveraging AI for code generation, XSLT authoring, and automated testing.

  • Expertise in HCM Extracts (BIP-based and Fast Formula driven).
  • Proficiency in HDL (HCM Data Loader) and HSDL for complex business objects.
  • Hands-on development in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Gen 2 or Gen 3.
  • Advanced skills in XSLT, Groovy scripting, and SQL.
  • Experience with REST and SOAP APIs for real-time data exchange.

Core Responsibilities

The developer will be responsible for the entire integration lifecycle. This includes partnering with business analysts to define technical designs, authoring Technical Design Documents (TDD), and implementing robust error-handling matrices.

  • Designing inbound and outbound patterns using Oracle-native tools.
  • Building self-healing pipelines that scale with organizational growth.
  • Configuring BI Publisher templates for diverse file formats (CSV, XML, Fixed-width).
  • Implementing PGP encryption and SFTP delivery protocols.
  • Developing Business Event subscribers for real-time triggers like New Hires or Terminations.

Quality Assurance and Support

Beyond development, the role involves rigorous testing and production support. The developer must diagnose complex HDL load errors and troubleshoot ESS job failures.

  • Performing unit, SIT, and UAT testing cycles.
  • Building automated regression test suites.
  • Ensuring compliance with SOX, GDPR, and HIPAA standards.
  • Providing structured knowledge transfer and operational runbooks.

This role is ideal for a high-velocity engineer who treats manual processes as bugs and seeks to automate every aspect of the integration workflow.
