Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Architect for a critical 6-month engagement in Culver City, CA. This role requires a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in the IT industry, specifically focusing on major systems and vendor management. As an Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructures that support our client’s business objectives. This position is strictly onsite, requiring your physical presence to collaborate with local teams and manage physical and virtual assets effectively. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both legacy systems and modern cloud-native architectures, ensuring a seamless integration across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the implementation of robust infrastructure solutions including Windows, RHEL Linux, and Oracle Linux environments.
- Manage virtualization technologies such as VMware and Nutanix to ensure high availability and scalability across the data center.
- Architect and operate cloud service provider environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP, focusing on security, networking, and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- Develop and maintain Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC), Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and Software-Defined Storage (SDS) concepts using industry-leading products.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitHub, and Terraform to automate deployment and configuration management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with organizational goals and security domains including data, database, OS, and network security.
- Provide expert-level technical support and documentation for complex architectural designs, ensuring all systems are well-documented and maintainable.
- Conduct ROI analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and budgeting for infrastructure projects to ensure financial viability and alignment with business needs.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of IT industry experience working with major systems and vendors.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a systems administrator in high-stakes environments.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Windows, RHEL, and Oracle Linux operating systems.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with VMware or Nutanix virtualization technologies.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing and operating AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in computer networking concepts: switching, routing, firewalls, overlay networks, and cloud interconnects.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, and PowerShell for automation and process improvement.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and orchestration platforms.
- Knowledge of storage technologies: SAN, NAS, NFS, CIFS, and object storage solutions.
- Familiarity with database platforms including MS SQL, Oracle, and Sybase.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent experience is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least two years of experience within the entertainment industry is highly preferred, given the local industry landscape.
- Proven track record in project management using Waterfall and Agile methodologies, including FRD/BRD/TRD documentation.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, across all organizational levels from technical staff to executive leadership.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges.
- Ability to research and implement emerging technologies, trends, and standards to keep the infrastructure modern.
- Capacity to work under pressure and execute tasks in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $235,000 per year (Estimated)
