Position Overview: Snowflake Administrator
Valzo Soft Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Administrator to join our growing data engineering team in Plano, TX. As data becomes the lifeblood of modern enterprise, the management of the Snowflake Data Cloud has become a critical function. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end administration, maintenance, and optimization of our Snowflake environment. You will ensure that our data platform is secure, performant, and cost-effective, supporting a wide range of analytics and business intelligence initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities and Strategic Impact
- Platform Management: You will be the primary point of contact for managing Snowflake users, roles, and access controls. This includes implementing a robust Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) framework to ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor query performance and optimize virtual warehouse usage. You will be tasked with identifying bottlenecks and implementing strategies to improve data processing speeds while maintaining high availability.
- Cost Optimization: In the cloud-native world of 2026, managing consumption is vital. You will monitor credit usage, set up resource monitors, and implement cost-saving measures to ensure the platform remains within budget without sacrificing performance.
- Data Governance & Security: Implement and maintain data governance policies. This includes managing data masking, row-level security, and ensuring that all data loading processes (via Snowpipe or stages) are secure and efficient.
- Infrastructure Support: Support backup, recovery, and data replication strategies. You will work closely with cloud infrastructure teams (AWS/Azure) to ensure seamless integration between Snowflake and other cloud services.
Required Technical Skills
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Snowflake’s unique multi-cluster shared data architecture. Proficiency in SQL is a must, as you will be writing complex queries for monitoring and administrative tasks. You should have hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure, particularly in how they interface with Snowflake for storage and compute. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including star schemas, snowflake schemas, and ETL/ELT processes, is essential. We are looking for a professional who stays current with Snowflake’s rapidly evolving feature set, including recent advancements in Snowpark and Unistore.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
