Role Overview
Vizon Inc is currently seeking a Junior Backend Java Developer for a critical, high-priority engagement in Richardson, Texas. This is a unique ‘Without Interview’ role where selection is based entirely on the authenticity and verification of professional references. We are specifically looking for candidates who are former employees of Goldman Sachs (Ex-GS) and can provide verifiable reporting manager details. This position is 100% onsite in Richardson, TX, and requires local candidates who can start immediately upon reference clearance.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in backend development using Java.
- Expertise in Java 11 or higher versions, utilizing modern language features.
- Extensive experience with the Spring Framework, specifically Spring Boot for microservices development.
- Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with messaging systems, specifically Apache Kafka, for real-time data processing.
- Proficiency in version control systems, with a specific focus on GitLab workflows.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
- Solid foundation in Test-Driven Development (TDD) using JUnit, Mocking frameworks, and Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
- Exposure to or experience with AI tools in the development lifecycle is highly desirable.

- Must provide genuine Hiring Manager or Reporting Manager contact details for reference checks.
- Candidates will be rejected if the provided contact was not their actual direct manager at GS.
- Must be local to Richardson, TX (75082); no relocation or remote options are available.

Responsibilities
As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable microservices that power complex financial applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API specifications and ensure seamless integration with frontend systems. Your role involves writing clean, maintainable code and ensuring high test coverage through automated testing suites. You will participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirement analysis to deployment and maintenance. Given the nature of the banking and finance industry, you will adhere to strict security protocols and performance standards. You will also be expected to leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality. The duration of this contract is 6+ months with a strong likelihood of extension through 2026 based on performance and project needs.
