Position Summary: SAP Basis & Security Expert
KK Software Associates is looking for a seasoned SAP Basis & Security Consultant to join a high-impact project in Morristown, New Jersey. This role requires a dual-specialist approach, managing both the technical infrastructure (BASIS) and the complex security frameworks required for modern SAP environments hosted on Azure. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience navigating the intersection of SAP HANA, cloud infrastructure, and regulatory compliance.
SAP Security & Compliance Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust SAP security roles and authorizations specifically tailored for Azure-hosted systems.
- Ensure all system configurations comply with SOX, GDPR, and BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) regulatory requirements.
- Manage user provisioning, role testing, and rigorous segregation of duties (SoD) checks to prevent internal fraud and errors.
- Configure secure communication protocols, including SSL/TLS and encryption, for all SAP workloads.
- Monitor and audit system access logs, implementing immediate remediation for any identified violations.
- Support GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) integration and perform risk analysis for migrated systems.
- Provide final security sign-off for cutover activities and post-go-live operations.
SAP BASIS & Infrastructure Tasks
- Execute core SAP system administration tasks, including client copies, transports, and proactive system monitoring.
- Perform performance tuning and troubleshoot complex application server issues to ensure 24/7 availability.
- Lead migration activities, including export-import processes, SUM/DMO execution, and technical validation.
- Configure RFCs, logical systems, and integration points following cloud migrations.
- Collaborate closely with Azure infrastructure teams for connectivity, resource provisioning, and backup/recovery procedures.
- Automate routine BASIS tasks to improve operational efficiency and document all technical procedures for handover.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 8-10 years of professional experience in SAP Basis and Security roles.
- Deep expertise in SAP Security & Authorization and Digital SAP BASIS – HANA.
- Proven experience with SAP migrations to Azure and managing cloud-based SAP environments.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) in a hybrid cloud context.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams and business stakeholders.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $140,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
