Position Summary
We are looking for an expert SAP Finance Functional Consultant for a high-impact 6-month engagement in Rosemead, CA. This role requires a professional who can navigate the complexities of SAP Finance functionalities and provide end-to-end support for a large-scale enterprise environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Finance modules, ensuring that financial processes are optimized for efficiency and accuracy. This position demands a blend of deep functional expertise and technical savvy to bridge the gap between business requirements and system capabilities.
Core Responsibilities
- Functional Support: Provide in-depth support for SAP Finance modules, including General Ledger (G/L), Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), Banking, and Travel Management. You will assess, estimate, and design solutions for complex financial business processes.
- System Configuration: Lead the configuration and maintenance of the SAP Finance environment. This includes troubleshooting, debugging, and implementing enhancements to improve system performance and user experience.
- Cross-Module Integration: Demonstrate functional knowledge of modules beyond Finance, such as CO, TRM, SD, MM/SCM, HR, and EAM. You will ensure seamless data flow and process integration across the entire SAP landscape.
- Technical Collaboration: Utilize technical knowledge of IDOC, DMEE, Web Services, Proxy, and Workflows to support advanced configurations. You will work closely with ABAP developers to review technical specifications and ensure quality deliverables.
- Project Management: Take on leadership roles as needed, acting as a functional lead or subject matter expert. You will coordinate vendor work, manage project timelines, and ensure that all deliverables adhere to strict quality standards.
- Change Management: Adhere to rigorous change management processes using tools like HP ALM. This includes creating change requests, performing peer reviews, and representing changes at CAB meetings.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with IT teams, business users, and external vendors to clarify requirements and resolve high-priority issues. You will interact with security teams to manage SAP Finance roles and authorizations.
Required Skills and Experience
The candidate must have comprehensive experience covering all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Strong interpersonal skills are a must, as you will be collaborating with personnel at all levels of the organization. You should be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Experience in the utilities or energy sector is a plus, given the location’s industry profile. Technical proficiency in debugging and understanding PDF forms and email notifications within the SAP ecosystem is also required.

Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)
