Role Overview
The Junior Backend Java Developer position at Vyze Inc. is a specialized role specifically targeting professionals with previous experience at Goldman Sachs. As a Junior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust, scalable server-side logic using Java 11 and above. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality backend services using Java 11+ and the Spring Framework.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features within a microservices architecture.
- Utilize Kafka for real-time data streaming and asynchronous messaging between services.
- Manage and optimize MongoDB databases to ensure high performance and availability of data.
- Maintain code quality through rigorous test automation using JUnit, Mocking frameworks, and Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
- Integrate AI tools into the development workflow to enhance productivity and code efficiency.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Work closely with Gitlab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative code reviews.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Java development.
- Proficiency in Java 11 or higher, with a deep understanding of modern language features.
- Extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security).
- Proven track record of working with microservices and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka for event-driven architectures.
- Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB.
- Familiarity with Gitlab and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience in writing automated tests (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber/Gherkin).
- Exposure to or interest in Artificial Intelligence tools within the software engineering domain.

Location and Duration
This is an onsite role located in Richardson, TX (75082). Candidates must be local to the Richardson area or willing to relocate immediately. The initial duration is through the End of Year (EOY) with high potential for extensions based on performance and project needs.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $95,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
