Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Integration Developer to lead a critical Procure-to-Pay (P2P) implementation project. This role is essential for bridging the gap between modern P2P platforms and legacy ERP systems. Specifically, you will be responsible for the integration design and development between Zip (the P2P vendor) and Lawson (Infor), utilizing a custom middleware platform built on IBM AS400 (IBM i). This is a remote-first position requiring a deep understanding of both modern API-driven architectures and legacy mainframe environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop robust integrations between Lawson ERP and AS400-based middleware.
- Lead the design of inbound and outbound interfaces for complex P2P master data and transactional objects.
- Execute precise data mapping, transformation, and validation logic to ensure data integrity across systems.
- Manage both API-based (REST/SOAP) and file-based (CSV, XML, JSON) integration patterns.
- Implement comprehensive error handling, logging, and reconciliation frameworks to minimize production downtime.
- Collaborate closely with the P2P vendor’s technical team to validate end-to-end data flows.
- Drive integration testing phases, including SIT, UAT, and Performance testing.
- Provide technical leadership to offshore development teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Document all technical specifications and integration designs for long-term maintainability.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in ERP integration development.
- Expert-level knowledge of Lawson (Infor S3 or CloudSuite) technical architecture.
- Hands-on experience with IBM AS400 / IBM i systems, including RPG or COBOL development.
- Proven track record of integrating legacy middleware with modern SaaS platforms.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and complex data transformation techniques.
- Deep understanding of the Procure-to-Pay lifecycle, including Vendor Master, PO, and Invoice processing.
- Experience with Infor ION or IBM MQ is highly desirable.
Project Scope
The scope of this engagement covers a wide array of data objects. Master data includes Vendor Master, Item Master, Chart of Accounts, and User Data. Transactional data encompasses Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Receipts, Invoices, and Payment Status updates. The successful candidate will ensure that these objects flow seamlessly between the frontend Zip platform and the backend Lawson ERP, maintaining high availability and data accuracy throughout the implementation lifecycle. You will act as the Onshore Lead, coordinating with an offshore developer to deliver high-quality integration solutions within a SOX-controlled environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
