Position Summary
Webster Tech Solutions is looking for a Senior Ab Initio Developer with extensive experience in the Banking Domain to join a critical project in Alpharetta, GA. This role is strictly onsite (5 days a week) and requires a candidate who can excel in a high-pressure financial services environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing complex ETL patterns and data pipelines using the Ab Initio toolset.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust ETL processes using Ab Initio GDE to handle large-scale banking data.
- Utilize Express IT for business rule management and rapid deployment of data transformation logic.
- Optimize data flows and graph performance to meet strict banking industry SLAs for data processing.
- Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to understand complex financial data structures and regulatory requirements.
- Perform deep-dive troubleshooting of production ETL jobs and provide performance tuning recommendations.
- Ensure all developments adhere to the bank’s security, compliance, and data governance standards.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers on Ab Initio best practices.
- Support the end-to-end development lifecycle, including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in Ab Initio (GDE, Co-Operating System, Control Center).
- Hands-on experience with Ab Initio Express IT and Metadata Hub.
- Strong background in ETL architecture and data warehousing principles.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle, Teradata, or DB2).
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting for job automation and scheduling.
- Proven experience working within the Banking or Financial Services domain, specifically with transaction data or regulatory reporting.
Interview & Onsite Requirements
This position requires a mandatory 5-day onsite presence at the client location in Alpharetta, GA. Candidates must be prepared for a rigorous screening process, which includes a mandatory Face-to-Face (F2F) client interview. Only candidates with a strong technical foundation in Ab Initio and a clear understanding of banking workflows will be considered for this high-impact role.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $135,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
