Role Overview
Metrix IT Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Senior Developer specializing in Node.js and JavaScript for a critical 6-month engagement in Plano, Texas. This role is 100% onsite and requires a professional capable of designing and developing high-volume, low-latency technology application solutions that are scalable, reusable, and enterprise-grade. As a senior member of the development team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of application backend services and databases, ensuring they meet the rigorous standards of a modern digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust application backend services and databases using Node.js and SQL/NoSQL (MongoDB) technologies.
- Resolve complex technical issues through deep-dive debugging, research, and investigation to maintain system integrity.
- Work effectively within a Scaled Agile (SAFe) development environment, participating in sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code ready for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) and release on demand.
- Perform comprehensive testing at the unit and system levels, with a strong emphasis on developing and maintaining automated test suites.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement seamless web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Utilize containerization tools like Podman and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration in a DevOps-centric workflow.
- Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) principles to ensure high code quality and minimize technical debt.
Technical Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a strong primary skillset in JavaScript, Node.js, MongoDB, and SQL. Experience with Web UI/UX design and testing frameworks is essential. Secondary preferences include SAFe certifications (Software Engineer or DevOps Practitioner), knowledge of Managed Service Telecom Operations Practice, and proficiency with Jira, Git, and Kubernetes. Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
