Role Overview: Patient Strategy Technical Lead
We are looking for a visionary Patient Strategy Technical Lead to spearhead our digital health initiatives in San Francisco. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between advanced technology and patient-centric healthcare strategies. You will lead the technical direction for our patient engagement platforms, focusing on Salesforce Health Cloud and AWS-based AI solutions. This is a 6-month contract position requiring a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical commercial domain.
Core Responsibilities and Innovation
- Platform Leadership: Serve as the primary technical authority for Salesforce Health Cloud and other integrated patient CRM systems. You will define the end-to-end data flow and architectural standards to ensure a “single source of truth” for all patient data across the enterprise.
- AI Orchestration & Agentic AI: Lead the design and deployment of Agentic AI solutions. You will utilize AWS BedRock to build custom AI agents that process real-time data from our Data Lake, delivering proactive “nudges” and actionable insights to both patients and case managers.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and optimize data workflows using a suite of AWS services, including Lambda, Glue, S3, and Athena. Your goal is to create a high-performance, scalable backend that supports complex real-time analytics.
- Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure that every digital solution strictly adheres to Pharma-specific regulations, including HIPAA and regional privacy laws. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of data security and patient confidentiality.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a technical liaison between architects, developers, and business stakeholders. You must possess the ability to translate complex technical roadmaps into clear, strategic value propositions for non-technical leadership.
Technical Requirements and Domain Expertise
- Extensive experience with Salesforce Health Cloud and modern Patient CRM ecosystems.
- Proven expertise in AWS cloud services (Lambda, Glue, S3, Athena) and AI/ML integration.
- Hands-on experience developing custom AI Agents using AWS BedRock or similar LLM orchestration frameworks.
- Deep understanding of the Pharma Commercial domain, specifically in Patient Engagement and Patient Service tools.
- Strong background in data modeling, troubleshooting complex data sets, and optimizing high-volume data pipelines.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a creative mindset geared toward addressing the unique challenges of the healthcare industry.
- Familiarity with global and regional data privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).

Compensation & Location
Salary: $190,000 – $255,000 per year
