Position Summary
VYZE INC is currently recruiting for a specialized Public Safety Remedy CMDB Developer for a critical 12-month engagement with a major New York City public safety agency. This role is essential for the day-to-day administration and management of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and requires a deep technical expert in BMC Remedy and Helix environments. The successful candidate will support Critical Lifecycle Management Services, ADDM discovery, and asset intake processes to ensure the integrity of the agency’s IT infrastructure data.
Core Responsibilities
- Evaluate and gather current BMC Remedy/Helix CMDB practices for both Business As Usual (BAU) and NextGen initiatives.
- Review and optimize ITIL process areas including Incident, Service Request, Change, and Configuration Management.
- Manage and troubleshoot lifecycle tools such as Discovery, ADDM, Netscout, and SCCM.
- Identify, document, and ensure critical Configuration Items (CI) are properly accounted for within the CMDB.
- Automate the addition, modification, and removal of CIs via Remedy workflows.
- Perform reconciliation and validation of CI relationships to maintain a high-fidelity dependency map.
- Audit configuration records to ensure compliance with agency standards and best practices.
- Recommend enhancements for tool-sets related to Release and Lifecycle control procedures.
- Provide comprehensive documentation, including workflows and architectural diagrams.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in BMC Remedy ARS, CMDB, ITSM, SLM, and SRM development.
- Proven experience in the installation and configuration of Remedy ARS and CMDB version 18.x or higher.
- Demonstrated expertise in integrating Remedy with third-party tools like ADDM, Netcool/ScienceLogic, and Active Directory.
- Proficiency in Remedy Smart Reporting for data visualization and auditing.
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and configuration management best practices.
Work Environment and Schedule
This position is based on-site in New York City at the 2 MTC location. The work schedule follows normal business hours, Monday through Friday, totaling 35 hours per week. Candidates must be prepared for a rigorous environment where accuracy in public safety data is paramount. The initial interview mode will be via Skype. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working with NYC OTI or other Public Safety City agencies and those holding BMC Remedy or ITIL certifications.
Special Requirements
Interview Mode: Skype. Work Schedule: 35 hours/week. On-site: Monday-Friday at 2 MTC. Mandatory 8+ years BMC Remedy experience.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $95 – $145 per year (Estimated)
