Role Overview
VSB Tech Consulting Services is looking for a specialized Business Analyst with a focus on ADA Accessibility and WCAG 2.2 standards for a 6+ month remote contract. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our digital products, including websites, applications, and documents, are fully accessible to individuals with disabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to audit existing platforms and define requirements for new features that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and international accessibility guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document business requirements for digital accessibility across websites, mobile applications, and conventional documents (PDFs, forms).
- Conduct comprehensive accessibility audits using tools such as WAVE, Lighthouse, and NVDA Screen Reader.
- Apply WCAG 2.2 standards (W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) to technical specifications and user stories.
- Perform manual keyboarding testing and color contrast analysis to identify barriers to entry for users with visual or motor impairments.
- Collaborate with developers and designers to provide guidance on HTML, CSS, and Javascript implementations that support ARIA labels and semantic structure.
- Utilize Microsoft accessibility checkers and Acrobat Pro for document remediation and compliance verification.
- Translate complex accessibility standards into actionable tasks for technical teams.
- Provide subject matter expertise on ADA compliance within the Criminal Justice domain where applicable.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a specific focus on digital accessibility.
- Deep understanding of ADA regulations and WCAG 2.2 standards.
- Hands-on experience with accessibility testing tools: NVDA, WAVE, Lighthouse, and Color Contrast Analyzer.
- Technical proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Javascript as they relate to accessible web design.
- Experience with page layout tools and document remediation (Acrobat Pro).
- Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between legal compliance requirements and technical execution.
- Prior experience working within the Criminal Justice Domain is considered a significant bonus.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $155,000 per year
