Role Overview: Business Data Analyst

The Business Data Analyst role in the San Francisco Bay Area is a pivotal position designed for a professional who thrives at the intersection of data science and marketing strategy. In this onsite capacity, you will be tasked with deciphering complex datasets to drive the growth of marketing and client loyalty initiatives across various geographic locations. • Ad Hoc Problem Solving: The business environment is dynamic. You will be expected to perform rapid, ad hoc analyses to answer pressing strategic questions from executive leadership.
  • Data Governance: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data used in all reporting and analysis. You will work to optimize existing data pipelines and dashboarding processes for maximum efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Analytical Prowess: A strong background in complex business analysis is required. You should have an innate curiosity that drives you to look beyond the surface of the numbers.
  • Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and advanced Excel for data manipulation is mandatory. Experience with SQL for data extraction is highly preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for presenting insights to management and influencing business strategy.
  • Experience: Prior experience in marketing, merchandising, or sales analytics is a significant advantage.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or Business Analytics.

The onsite nature of this role in the Bay Area allows for high-touch collaboration with product managers and marketing leads, fostering a culture of rapid iteration and shared success.
