Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Informatica Data Catalog (EDC) Specialist to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise metadata solutions in Torrance, CA. This onsite role focuses on owning the metadata architecture and ensuring robust data governance across the organization. You will be responsible for defining standards for technical, business, and operational metadata, including lineage and impact analysis.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and own the enterprise metadata architecture using Informatica Data Catalog and related governance components.
- Define standards for technical, business, and operational metadata, ensuring comprehensive lineage and impact analysis.
- Integrate Data Catalog with various systems including Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, MDM, Data Quality, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Lead the implementation of metadata scanning, harvesting, and classification across diverse databases, ETL tools, and BI platforms.
- Configure end-to-end data lineage to support analytics, regulatory compliance, and change management.
- Enable self-service data discovery for business users through curated and governed catalog views.
- Partner with Data Governance teams to integrate business glossaries, policies, and stewardship workflows.
- Support data quality metrics and certification processes by linking catalog metadata with quality results.
- Monitor metadata standards and lifecycle management processes.
- Review the impact of schema and pipeline changes using metadata insights before production approval.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica Data Catalog (Enterprise Data Catalog).
- Solid understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data governance concepts.
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, MDM, or Data Quality.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing, relational databases, SQL, and ETL architectures.
- Ability to translate complex business and governance requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Experience defining enterprise standards and architectural blueprints.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $140,000 – $150,000 per year
