Position Summary
Global IT Family is looking for a visionary Java Solution Architect to lead technology strategy and architectural design for our business domains in Las Vegas, NV. This is a high-level leadership role where you will act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams. You will be responsible for translating complex, high-level business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure microservices architectures. As an architect, you will define the technology vision, establish best practices, and ensure that our engineering output aligns with the long-term strategic goals of the organization.
Core Responsibilities
- Decompose complex business requirements into manageable and scalable microservice domains.
- Partner with Product and Engineering Managers to shape the product roadmap and feature delivery schedules.
- Promote ‘Inner Sourcing’ and component re-use across the organization to drive development efficiency.
- Design REST-based microservice APIs and create formal data contracts for data engineering teams.
- Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services, ensuring high availability and cost-efficiency.
- Oversee containerization and deployment strategies using Docker, Kubernetes, or RedHat OpenShift.
- Lead Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives to evaluate emerging frameworks and third-party tools.
- Collaborate with Data Architects on SQL and NoSQL table design and data modeling.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of dedicated experience in Solution Architecture, with 10+ years of total IT experience preferred.
- Expertise in Java-based microservices architecture and API contract design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud governance and native service architecture.
- Strong background in container orchestration using Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in both SQL and NoSQL data modeling and database design.
- Track record of successfully delivering large-scale, distributed systems.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year
