Role Overview
Relanto Inc. is looking for a Senior Guidewire Developer with specialized expertise in Duck Creek systems for a long-term, remote contract opportunity. This role is critical for our P&C insurance clients who are undergoing digital transformation and system integration projects. The ideal candidate will bring over 8 years of hands-on experience in Guidewire configuration, rating implementation, and complex system integrations. You will be responsible for designing and customizing core insurance applications while ensuring seamless interoperability between Guidewire and Duck Creek platforms.
Core Technical Competencies
- 8+ years of dedicated Guidewire Development experience.
- Mandatory hands-on expertise in PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
- Advanced Gosu programming skills for configuration and data model customization.
- Deep experience in Rating configuration, including rate books, pricing logic, and underwriting rules.
- Proven ability to build and support integrations using REST/SOAP services and messaging frameworks.
- Working exposure to Duck Creek Policy, Billing, or Claims modules is a strict requirement.
- Strong knowledge of the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain.
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud and modern CI/CD pipeline tools.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize Guidewire applications to meet specific business requirements.
- Configure complex product models and business rules within the Guidewire ecosystem.
- Develop technical enhancements and integrations between Guidewire/Duck Creek and third-party systems.
- Lead the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements analysis to production support.
- Collaborate with insurance stakeholders to translate functional needs into high-performance technical solutions.
- Perform application optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for large-scale insurance systems.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to data migration project strategies.
Candidate Requirements
We are seeking a technical leader who can navigate the complexities of modern insurance platforms. Candidates must have a strong background in SQL/database management (Oracle or SQL Server) and a clear understanding of insurance business workflows. Please note that profiles without hands-on Gosu coding experience or those with only functional/support backgrounds will not be considered. This is a remote position, but candidates must be prepared to provide valid identification and visa documentation as part of the screening process. Guidewire or Duck Creek certifications are highly preferred and will distinguish top-tier applicants.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year
