Role Overview
We are currently seeking a highly distinguished and visionary Data Scientist to join our advanced research and development team in Dublin, CA. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of sophisticated algorithms for commercial-grade medical imaging devices and software.
- Utilize expert-level proficiency in Python and MATLAB to conduct complex data modeling and signal processing tasks.
- Develop and optimize computer vision algorithms with a focus on image segmentation, registration, and high-efficiency compression.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate advanced AI and machine learning models into production environments.
- Analyze large-scale medical datasets to extract actionable insights and improve diagnostic accuracy for clinical applications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data scientists, fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation.
- Stay at the forefront of academic and industrial research in computer vision and medical informatics to ensure our products remain industry-leading.
- Ensure all algorithmic developments comply with relevant medical device regulations and data privacy standards.
Technical Requirements
- A minimum of 15 years of professional experience in Data Science, Algorithm Development, or a related technical field.
- Expert-level mastery of Python and MATLAB is mandatory for this role.
- Familiarity with C++ is highly desirable for performance optimization and system-level integration.
- At least 5 years of specific experience in developing algorithms for commercial medical products.
- Extensive background in image and signal processing techniques.
- Proven expertise in computer vision algorithms, specifically in the areas of segmentation, registration, and compression.
- Deep understanding of medical imaging modalities (e.g., MRI, CT, Ultrasound) and medical image analysis workflows.
Education and Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related quantitative stream is required.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex theoretical research into robust, production-ready code.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
