Position Overview: ServiceNow Architect
VSB Tech Consulting Services is looking for a seasoned ServiceNow Architect to lead the technical strategy for enterprise-level CMDB and ITOM initiatives. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role that requires a unique blend of architectural depth, strategic advisory capabilities, and hands-on technical expertise. As a lead architect, you will shape the platform’s direction, guiding stakeholders through complex design decisions and ensuring that the ServiceNow ecosystem is scalable, compliant, and future-ready. While the role is listed as remote, the candidate must be prepared for high-level client engagement and potential onsite requirements as dictated by project needs.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and technical roadmap for ServiceNow CMDB and ITOM solutions across the enterprise.
- Establish and evolve a CSDM-aligned (Common Service Data Model) CMDB framework to support business and operational objectives.
- Design and oversee Discovery solutions, including MID Server deployments and complex system integrations.
- Assess and improve CMDB data quality through robust governance models, reconciliation logic, and health metrics.
- Provide expert architectural guidance across Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and observability initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer leadership, influencing enterprise-level decisions and platform strategy.
- Ensure all ServiceNow solutions follow industry best practices and maintain platform health and upgradeability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate asset management with observability platforms like Dynatrace.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow architecture experience.
- Proven expertise in CSDM implementation, Discovery, Identification & Reconciliation (IRE), and CMDB optimization.
- Deep understanding of ITOM modules and their integration within the broader ServiceNow platform.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with third-party observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics).
- Strong consulting mindset with exceptional communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead complex architecture discussions and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA) certification is required; Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) or Master Architect certifications are highly preferred.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $185,000 – $235,000 per year
