Position Summary
Novia Infotech is urgently hiring a Senior Java Developer for a critical project spanning multiple US locations including Indianapolis, Plano, Boston, Portsmouth, and Seattle. This is an onsite contract role requiring a minimum of 10 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate is a technical powerhouse capable of navigating complex distributed systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, while also possessing strong frontend skills in Angular and TypeScript.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise-grade microservices using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
- Architect real-time data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka to handle high-throughput event processing.
- Build dynamic and responsive single-page applications (SPAs) using Angular and TypeScript.
- Leverage AWS services, specifically AWS Aurora, for scalable and reliable database management.
- Utilize monitoring and logging tools like Datadog and Splunk to ensure system health and rapid troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native architectures on AWS.
- Ensure code quality through rigorous testing and adherence to industry-standard security protocols.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex architectural decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of extensive experience in Java-based software development.
- Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven systems.
- Proficiency in Angular (latest versions) and TypeScript for modern frontend development.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and managed database services like Aurora.
- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog and Splunk.
- Ability to work onsite at one of the designated locations (IN, TX, MA, NH, WA).

Compensation & Location
Salary: $93,600 – $125,000 per year
