Role Overview: Senior Agile Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Agile Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Redmond, WA. This is a 100% onsite role designed for a professional who thrives in a collaborative, face-to-face environment. As we move into 2026, the landscape of project management has evolved to require a deeper integration of technical oversight and human-centric leadership. This position is pivotal in driving high-stakes projects from their initial conceptualization through to successful delivery and closure.

Core Responsibilities and Strategic Leadership

  • Lead and orchestrate complex Agile projects, ensuring that every phase from inception to completion aligns with the overarching business strategy and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate all essential Agile ceremonies with precision, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, fostering an environment of transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a primary liaison between Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and technical engineering teams to ensure backlogs are meticulously groomed and priorities are clearly defined.
  • Proactively identify and remove organizational and technical impediments that hinder team velocity or project timelines.
  • Manage comprehensive risk assessments, identifying potential dependencies and issues before they impact the critical path of the project.
  • Utilize advanced Agile metrics, such as velocity trends, burn-down/burn-up charts, and cumulative flow diagrams, to provide data-driven insights into project health.
  • Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders and leadership, providing clear updates on milestones, budget utilization, and strategic risks.
  • Champion the adoption of Agile best practices across the organization, mentoring junior staff and driving a culture of excellence.

Technical Environment and Tooling

The successful candidate will be expected to have expert-level proficiency in modern project management tools. In the Redmond tech hub, integration with enterprise-level ecosystems is standard. You will be working extensively with Jira for task tracking and backlog management, Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing, and Azure DevOps for CI/CD alignment and sprint tracking. A deep understanding of how these tools interface with the software development life cycle (SDLC) is essential for maintaining high standards of quality and delivery.

Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • A minimum of 7 years of dedicated Project Management experience, with a significant portion focused on Agile delivery within a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering multiple end-to-end Agile/Scrum projects, demonstrating the ability to manage scope creep and shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working within cross-functional technical teams, including developers, QA engineers, and UX designers.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex technical data into actionable project plans.
  • Preferred certifications include Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or PMI-ACP.
  • Prior experience with large consulting firms or major technology corporations is highly desirable.

Special Requirements

100% Onsite in Redmond, WA; Long-term contract; Requires experience with Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
