Role Summary

VBeyond Corporation is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented ETL Tester for a contract position based in Philadelphia, PA. This role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring a mix of onsite and remote work. As an ETL Tester, you will be an integral part of an Agile team focused on building sophisticated healthcare applications. Your primary mission will be to implement new features and ensure data integrity while adhering to the highest coding and development standards in the industry. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud data technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive ETL testing strategies to validate data movement from various sources to target data warehouses.
  • Utilize Azure Databricks (including Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables, and Unity Catalog) to perform data validation and performance testing.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, PySpark, and SQL to streamline the testing process and increase coverage.
  • Work closely with Azure Data Factory to monitor pipelines, manage CI/CD integrations, and ensure data flow accuracy.
  • Implement data quality frameworks using tools like Great Expectations to ensure the reliability and accuracy of healthcare data.
  • Collaborate with data governance teams to ensure PII compliance and adherence to Collibra-managed data standards.
  • Participate in the design and execution of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to support continuous integration and delivery.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using Azure DevOps or similar project management tools.
  • Perform regression testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing of complex data workflows.
  • Provide technical leadership and clear communication to cross-functional teams, including developers and product owners.
  • Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies, providing updates on testing progress and identifying potential risks to project timelines.
  • Ensure all healthcare applications meet regulatory requirements and internal quality benchmarks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Azure Databricks, specifically with Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory pipelines and monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency in Python and PySpark for developing automated test suites.
  • Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools like Collibra and data quality frameworks like Great Expectations.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and PII compliance within the healthcare domain.
  • Experience working within a CI/CD and DevOps environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective teamwork.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry is a significant advantage.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
