Role Overview: Business Analyst HR Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst with a deep technical understanding of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) to join our project team in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a critical role focused on the large-scale implementation of Workday HCM for approximately 70,000 state employees, effectively replacing the legacy PeopleSoft HCM system. The successful candidate will provide essential business analysis support across various HR functions, including Talent (Recruiting and Performance), Compensation, Benefits, and Core HR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve complex data conversion issues to ensure seamless data mapping from legacy systems to Workday.
  • Implement rigorous data validation techniques to maintain high levels of data integrity throughout the conversion process.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and detailed scripts, and lead the execution of system testing phases.
  • Provide expert technical support for system maintenance, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
  • Create high-quality software user guides, process documentation, and training materials for diverse user groups.
  • Deliver user support and training sessions to facilitate smooth system adoption and proficiency.
  • Act as a primary liaison between business units and the technical development team to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Manage requirements traceability matrices to ensure all business needs are met by the final system configuration.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of four years of professional experience in implementing or administering large-scale HRIS platforms.
  • Proven track record of success in direct data conversion projects within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and modern data analysis tools for complex data manipulation and reporting.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience with Workday HCM implementation or support is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience with PeopleSoft HCM is a significant advantage.
  • Experience working within the public sector or government technology projects is preferred.

Project Context and Environment

This position offers a long-term opportunity within a high-impact project. While the project is intended for a multi-year duration, the contract is subject to annual budget renewals, with the current term extending through the end of the fiscal year and anticipated renewal on July 1st. The work environment is hybrid, requiring local candidates who can commute to the Atlanta office as needed. Compensation & Location

Salary: $115,000 – $155,000 per year (Estimated)
