Project Overview

We are seeking a highly specialized Senior Consultant to spearhead the deployment of OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) 4 for a critical Public Sector engagement. This is a high-impact, short-term contract (approximately 7 weeks / 260 hours) requiring a deep technical expert who can navigate the complexities of secure, federal-grade infrastructure. The role is 100% remote but requires strict adherence to US Public Sector security protocols.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end installation, configuration, and hardening of OpenShift Container Platform 4.x.
  • Utilize IPI (Installer Provisioned Infrastructure) and UPI (User Provisioned Infrastructure) methods to deploy clusters across diverse environments.
  • Architect the platform for high availability, ensuring scalability and disaster recovery capabilities are baked into the design.
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Helm to ensure repeatable and consistent deployments.
  • Provide technical advisory services to stakeholders regarding Operator lifecycle management and cluster monitoring.
  • Ensure all platform configurations align with federal security standards, including NIST and FedRAMP compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with networking and storage teams to integrate persistent storage and complex networking requirements into the OCP environment.

Required Technical Expertise

  • Expert-level knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform 4 (OCP 4.x) architecture and deployment.
  • Strong proficiency in Kubernetes fundamentals, including pods, services, deployments, and ingress controllers.
  • Advanced Linux administration skills, specifically with Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS (RHCOS) and RHEL.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools.
  • Proven track record of delivering consulting services within the US Public Sector.
  • Ability to document complex architectural patterns and provide knowledge transfer to client teams.

Project Details

  • Duration: March 16, 2026 – May 08, 2026 (Approx. 260 hours).
  • Location: 100% Remote (Must be US-based).
  • Security: Must be a US Citizen due to Public Sector requirements.

Professional Expectations

As a Senior Consultant, you will be the primary technical point of contact for this deployment. You must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines. This role requires a professional who can balance technical excellence with the administrative rigors of public sector consulting.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120 – $165 per year (Estimated)

Location: Remote, NJ
