Role Overview: MuleSoft Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated MuleSoft Developer to join our engineering team in Plano, TX. This position is a hybrid role, requiring the successful candidate to be onsite at our Plano facility for three days each week. As a MuleSoft Developer, you will be at the forefront of our digital transformation initiatives, leveraging the Anypoint Platform to build robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions. You will work closely with enterprise architects, project managers, and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and high-performing API-led architectures. This role demands a deep understanding of integration patterns, data transformation, and the full lifecycle of API development.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design, develop, and deploy complex integration flows using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Design Center.
  • Implement API-led connectivity principles to create a reusable and manageable application network.
  • Utilize DataWeave 2.0 for sophisticated data mapping and transformation across various formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV.
  • Develop and maintain RAML or OAS specifications for all managed APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Perform rigorous unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, providing root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure high availability of integration services.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for API designs, deployment procedures, and system configurations.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in integration technology and MuleSoft product updates to drive continuous improvement.

Technical Requirements and Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in MuleSoft development with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proficiency in the Anypoint Platform and its core components.
  • Strong expertise in DataWeave for complex data transformations.
  • Deep understanding of RESTful API design and API-led architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Git for automated deployment.
  • Knowledge of security standards including OAuth 2.0, SAML, and SSL/TLS.
  • Familiarity with Java/J2EE and Spring Framework is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $128,000 – $162,000 per year (Estimated)
