Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst for a 12-month contract engagement in Alpharetta, GA. This role is critical for bridging the gap between complex business requirements and technical data solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data mapping, quality assessment, and the Agile development lifecycle. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that data-driven insights are accurate, timely, and aligned with strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and refine data requirements for various enterprise projects.
- Work alongside data architects to develop and maintain comprehensive data mapping documentation, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
- Conduct rigorous data quality assessments to identify and rectify inconsistencies, ensuring high standards of data integrity.
- Perform root cause analysis on complex data issues and provide actionable recommendations for resolution.
- Support large-scale data migration and integration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Operate within an Agile environment, managing backlogs, participating in sprint planning, and translating business needs into technical user stories.
- Apply design thinking principles to deliver user-centric solutions that solve real-world financial and operational challenges.
- Act as a primary liaison between engineering teams and business units to ensure solution designs meet delivery timelines and expected outcomes.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), tracking defects and working with QA teams to ensure high-quality releases.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst in a corporate environment.
- Expert proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Strong experience with Unix Command Line Interface (CLI) and advanced Excel functions.
- Proven track record in Agile product delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience with modern data tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, and Dataiku is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Generative AI applications in data analysis is a significant plus.
- Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, governance, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $125,000 – $165,000 per year (Estimated)
