Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Junior Technical Specialist to join our Tier 3 Operations and Endpoint Security Team in Raleigh, NC. This is a critical onsite role focused on supporting high-priority endpoint security implementations across various managed and non-managed state agencies. As a Junior Technical Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of the state’s digital infrastructure by assisting with the deployment and maintenance of advanced security tools and mobile device management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and configuration of endpoint security tools, including Microsoft Intune, Tanium, and Cloudflare VPN, to enhance the security posture of state-managed devices.
- Assist in the deployment and management of Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions across a diverse range of platforms, including iOS, Android, and Apple OS.
- Provide Tier 3 operational support, addressing complex technical issues and managing the day-to-day support backlog for both managed and non-managed agencies.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to document technical processes, security protocols, and deployment strategies to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Monitor system performance and security alerts, taking proactive measures to mitigate risks and resolve vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Participate in the transition and support of Windows 11 environments, ensuring seamless integration with existing security frameworks.
- Utilize SharePoint for documentation management and team collaboration, maintaining accurate records of all security implementations and support activities.
Technical Requirements
- Proficiency in supporting modern operating systems, specifically Windows 11, iOS, Android, and Apple OS.
- Hands-on experience or strong theoretical knowledge of Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Microsoft Intune.
- Familiarity with endpoint security platforms such as Tanium and VPN technologies like Cloudflare.
- Experience providing Tier 3 technical support in an enterprise or government environment.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint for collaboration and documentation purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Work Environment and Expectations
This position is 100% onsite in Raleigh, North Carolina. Candidates must be local to the NC area or willing to relocate immediately. The role requires an in-person interview as part of the final screening process. Compensation & Location
Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 per year (Estimated)
