Position Summary: Senior Project Manager (Digital Transformation)
Byteware Inc. is looking for a seasoned Project Manager with extensive experience in Digital Transformation and the Real Estate domain to lead high-priority initiatives in Manhattan, NY. This is a long-term contract role operating on a hybrid schedule. The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of professional experience, specifically focusing on large-scale development projects and complex digital shifts within the commercial real estate or mortgage lending sectors. You will be the primary driver of project milestones, ensuring that technical solutions align perfectly with business objectives while managing diverse stakeholder expectations across the organization.
Core Responsibilities and Strategic Leadership
- Provide end-to-end project management and leadership for complex software development and digital transformation initiatives.
- Act as the primary liaison between Real Estate business users and IT stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Drive project milestones with assertiveness, managing risks, dependencies, and resource allocation to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and senior management to explain technical issues and provide strategic updates.
- Utilize advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to mitigate issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Manage 3rd party vendor relationships, specifically interacting with platforms like Deal Path to ensure seamless integration.
- Implement and oversee Agile and Scrum methodologies to foster a collaborative and efficient development environment.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource forecasts using industry-standard tools.
- Act as the ‘voice of the customer,’ simulating customer activities to ensure the final product meets user needs and expectations.
Candidate Profile and Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in managing software development projects.
- At least 5 years of dedicated experience leading Digital Transformation initiatives.
- 10+ years of experience in project management or business analysis roles.
- Specific domain expertise in Real Estate is required; experience in Commercial Mortgage Lending is a significant plus.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools including MS Project, Excel, JIRA, Clarity PPM, Field Glass, ServiceNow, and Deal Path.
- Strong background in Agile/Scrum frameworks and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Special Requirements
Domain Restriction: Real Estate experience required. Hybrid role in Manhattan, NY. Long Term Contract.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)
