Position Summary

We are looking for a visionary Cloud Network Architect to join our team in Burlington, MA. This onsite role is critical for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure cloud networking solutions that support our enterprise-level digital transformation. With 6 to 8 years of experience in cloud computing and DevOps, the successful candidate will lead the architectural design of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance across all platforms.

Technical Leadership and Design

The Cloud Network Architect will be responsible for the end-to-end design of cloud-native network architectures. This includes the configuration of Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, routing tables, and security groups. You will work closely with the DevOps team to integrate automated network provisioning into our CI/CD pipelines, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Your expertise will be vital in optimizing network latency and throughput for high-demand applications.

Security and Compliance

In this role, security is paramount. You will design and implement advanced network security protocols, including firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and VPN tunnels. You will ensure that all cloud network configurations comply with industry standards and internal security policies. Regular audits and vulnerability assessments will be part of your routine to maintain a hardened network environment against evolving cyber threats.

Performance Optimization and Monitoring

Beyond initial design, the Cloud Network Architect is responsible for the continuous monitoring and optimization of the cloud environment. You will implement sophisticated monitoring tools to gain real-time visibility into network traffic patterns and performance metrics. By analyzing this data, you will identify bottlenecks and implement proactive measures to enhance system responsiveness. This includes fine-tuning load balancers, optimizing Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), and managing cross-region data transfers to minimize costs while maximizing speed. Your goal is to create a self-healing network infrastructure that can automatically scale and recover from failures without manual intervention.

Collaboration and Strategy

As a senior member of the technical team, you will provide strategic guidance on cloud adoption and migration strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data engineers, and system administrators, to ensure that the network infrastructure supports the diverse needs of the business. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders will be essential for driving project success.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 6-8 years of experience in Cloud Network Architecture.
  • Expertise in Digital Cloud DevOps and Cloud Computing (General).
  • Deep understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

Onsite Engagement

This position is located onsite in Burlington, MA. We believe that face-to-face collaboration is essential for the complex architectural discussions and rapid troubleshooting required for this project. The initial duration is 6 months, with the potential for extension based on project milestones and performance.
