Role Overview
The Senior .NET Developer position is a critical role within our Mortgage Servicing platform team. This onsite position in Carrollton, TX, requires a highly skilled professional to develop and maintain sophisticated technology solutions using a modern cloud-based architecture. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of business applications, from initial design and high-quality coding to rigorous testing and final deployment. This role is specifically tailored for individuals who thrive in an Agile environment and possess a deep understanding of Microsoft technologies and cloud service providers. The mortgage servicing industry is undergoing a digital transformation, and this role sits at the heart of that evolution, building tools that handle complex financial transactions, regulatory compliance, and customer data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop complex business applications using the latest tools and techniques, including .NET Core, C#, and Web Services, ensuring that all code meets the highest standards of performance and security.
- Utilize AWS cloud services such as EC2 for compute power, SQS and SNS for messaging and event-driven architecture, Lambda for serverless functions, and API Gateway to manage external and internal interfaces.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code and perform comprehensive unit testing during the development phase to catch bugs early in the lifecycle.
- Conduct quality assurance and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure software meets business requirements and performance standards, collaborating closely with business analysts and stakeholders.
- Prepare software for deployment into production environments, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal downtime through automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Respond to and resolve questions and issues logged by users of a live system, providing tier-3 support for critical production incidents.
- Manage small projects independently, taking ownership of the timeline and deliverables, while also working as a key team member on larger, cross-functional initiatives.
- Document application architecture, code logic, and deployment procedures for future reference and team knowledge sharing, maintaining a comprehensive wiki of system operations.

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in the realms of AI-assisted development and cloud-native architecture.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- A minimum of a 4-year Technical Degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Math, or a related field is mandatory for this position.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in IT and Engineering, with a strict requirement for US-based work experience to ensure familiarity with domestic business practices.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with .NET, .NET Core, C#, Agile Methodologies, Web Services, SQL, and SSIS, demonstrating a mastery of the Microsoft stack.
- 5+ years of experience working within an AWS Environment, specifically utilizing EC2, SQS, SNS, Lambda, Containers (Docker/ECS/EKS), and API Gateway.
- 2+ years of experience using AI Co-pilot or equivalent AI-assisted coding tools to enhance development productivity and code quality.
- 2+ years of experience with front-end technologies including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and functional programming paradigms to support full-stack development needs.
- In-depth knowledge of web services and API design patterns, including RESTful and SOAP-based architectures.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment using Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
Additional Information and Selection Process
This is a 6-month contract-to-hire or long-term contract opportunity. Candidates must be local to the Carrollton, TX area as an in-person interview is a mandatory part of the selection process. An online technical assessment will also be conducted to evaluate coding proficiency and problem-solving skills. Applicants must provide a valid Driver’s License or State ID for verification during the onsite visit. The selection process includes a technical phone screening by the vendor prior to the final interview stages. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge mortgage servicing technology and leverage AI-driven development tools in a robust cloud environment. The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite daily in Carrollton, TX, and must be prepared for a rigorous technical evaluation.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
