Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced .NET Architect with specialized expertise in AWS to lead a critical modernization initiative in Fort Mill, SC. This role is pivotal in transitioning legacy monolithic applications into high-performance, cloud-native microservices architectures. As a senior leader, you will define the technical roadmap, establish architectural standards, and ensure the scalability and security of our enterprise ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Design: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Modernization Strategy: Drive the refactoring of legacy .NET applications into modern microservices using .NET 6/7/8 and containerization technologies.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure consistent and repeatable environment provisioning.
- DevOps Leadership: Collaborate with DevOps teams to define and optimize CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration via Kubernetes (EKS), and automated testing frameworks.
- Technical Mentorship: Provide strategic guidance to development teams, conduct rigorous code reviews, and promote best practices in software engineering.
- Cost & Performance Optimization: Monitor cloud resource utilization and implement strategies for cost optimization and performance tuning.
Required Technical Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in C#, .NET Core, and .NET 6+.
- Extensive experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS.
- Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) for container orchestration.
- Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Strong understanding of microservices patterns, event-driven architecture, and API design.
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks like Angular is a significant plus.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in software development and systems architecture.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale cloud migration projects.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating technical risks.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $230,000 per year (Estimated)
