Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Systems Engineer specializing in Automotive Infotainment to join our R&D team in Mountain View, CA. This 100% onsite role focuses on the full lifecycle of infotainment product development, from requirement elicitation to final vehicle validation. You will serve as a technical bridge between our customers and internal engineering departments, ensuring that complex system requirements are met with precision.

Core Responsibilities

  • Requirement Engineering: Lead the elicitation, clarification, and maturation of system-level requirements (SYS.1) in alignment with ASPICE standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical interface for customers, managing expectations and providing regular project updates.
  • System Integration: Support the bring-up of infotainment systems on both test benches and within prototype vehicles.
  • Validation & Testing: Conduct comprehensive system validation, pre-verification events, and evaluation drives to ensure product reliability.
  • Issue Resolution: Analyze vehicle and bench logs to debug complex system issues and verify software performance.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Align infotainment requirements across Software, Hardware, and Function Control teams to ensure cohesive development.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain System Test Plans, UML diagrams (state/sequence), and architectural documentation.

Technical Requirements

  • 5-12 years of experience in automotive systems and infotainment product development.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle system architecture, including hardware and software components.
  • Proficiency in embedded software/firmware development, specifically with Embedded C.
  • Hands-on experience with automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, and SPI.
  • Expertise with industry-standard tools such as Vector CANoe, GENy, and various IDEs.
  • Advanced skills in requirements management tools like IBM DOORS or Polarion.
  • Knowledge of microcontroller architectures including RAM, NVRAM, Flash, and peripherals.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Automotive, Computer Engineering, or a related field).
  • Strong debugging and log analysis capabilities.
  • Experience working with global, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced R&D environment.
  • Excellent presentation skills for conducting customer demos and technical discussions.

Work Environment

This role is based in the heart of Silicon Valley and requires a 100% onsite presence to facilitate direct interaction with hardware and vehicle testing environments. You will be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to defining the next generation of the in-car experience.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $160,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Mountain View, CA
