Role Overview
We are seeking a highly distinguished SAP Solution Architect with a specialized focus on SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS). This onsite role in Greenfield, Indiana, requires a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between complex supply chain requirements and technical SAP configurations. The primary focus of this engagement is Order-Based Planning (OBP), ensuring that our client’s manufacturing and distribution networks operate at peak efficiency through advanced pegging and constraint-based planning logic. As the lead architect, you will be responsible for the integrity of the supply chain solution, ensuring that every technical decision supports the overarching business goal of a responsive and resilient supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architectural design for SAP IBP (OBP) and PP/DS modules within an S/4HANA environment, ensuring a seamless flow of data and planning signals.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive planning architecture roadmap that aligns with global business strategies and digital transformation goals.
- Design scalable solutions for manufacturing, including order pegging, complex constraint-based planning scenarios, and finite scheduling.
- Oversee the integration between SAP IBP and S/4HANA, ensuring data integrity across Core Interface (CIF), Production Data Structures (PDS), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and resources.
- Provide expert guidance on CIF configuration, supply chain model design, and the application of planning operators, heuristics, and optimizer engines.
- Collaborate with C-level executives and operational stakeholders to influence supply chain digital transformation and drive adoption of new planning methodologies.
- Define architecture standards and governance frameworks for large-scale, global SAP programs to ensure consistency and maintainability.
- Validate response strategies and ATP/GATP integration to ensure accurate delivery promises and improved customer service levels.
- Mentor junior consultants and internal staff on SAP best practices and emerging trends in the IBP ecosystem.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in SAP Supply Chain modules, with a focus on planning and execution.
- Proven track record of at least 3 full-cycle SAP implementations acting as a Lead Solution Architect, managing the project from blueprinting to post-go-live support.
- Deep technical expertise in SAP IBP Order-Based Planning (OBP) and a strong working knowledge of Time-Series (TS) Supply Planning and Demand Planning.
- Extensive experience with SAP PP/DS, specifically within the S/4HANA ecosystem, including embedded PP/DS functionality.
- Strong understanding of SAP data models and integration frameworks such as CIF, CPI-DS, and SDI (Smart Data Integration).
- Experience in designing end-to-end processes for manufacturing, including inventory management, production planning, and shop floor integration.
- Ability to configure and optimize planning logic to align with real-world manufacturing constraints, such as machine capacity and labor availability.

- Strong leadership capabilities to guide cross-functional teams through complex implementation phases and resolve architectural conflicts.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, supply chain optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- SAP certifications in IBP or S/4HANA Production Planning are highly desirable.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $215,000 – $285,000 per year (Estimated)
