Role Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer with a strong background in iOS development to join our engineering team in Denver, Colorado. This is a critical onsite role focused on the design, development, and maintenance of sophisticated physician-facing web and mobile applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between robust backend Java services and intuitive, high-performance iOS user interfaces. This position requires a local presence in Denver and offers the opportunity to work on high-impact healthcare technology solutions that directly affect clinical workflows and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop native mobile applications for the iOS platform using Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
  • Implement complex business logic and scalable APIs using Java and modern service layer frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Database Developers, and Architects, to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through continuous optimization and debugging.
  • Integrate internal and third-party APIs and services into mobile applications to enhance functionality.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including architecture design, code reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Work closely with QA and Configuration Management (CM) teams for code builds, releases, test case design, and defect resolution.
  • Mentor junior developers on Java design patterns, iOS best practices, and coding standards.
  • Advocate for high code quality, maintainability, and adherence to industry standards.
  • Contribute to a fast-paced Agile environment, utilizing SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodologies to ensure project alignment and delivery.
  • Proactively resolve technical issues and escalate risks to management as necessary to adhere to project schedules.

Technical Requirements and Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in Java development with a focus on backend services and API creation.
  • Mandatory proficiency in iOS development using Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
  • Proven track record of developing and supporting physician-facing or healthcare-related applications.
  • Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and the integration of RESTful services.
  • Experience working with database developers to optimize data flow between mobile clients and backend systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments; experience with SAFe is a significant plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with offshore teams.
  • Ability to lead project modules and provide technical guidance to teammates.
  • A proactive approach to troubleshooting and performance tuning.

This position is based onsite in Denver, CO, and requires candidates who are already local to the area. Special Requirements

Visa: L2S required. GC, H4, and OPT are not workable. Screening: Only local candidates to Denver, CO (Onsite). Domain: Healthcare experience a plus. Methodology: SAFe experience a plus.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Denver, CO
