Overview of the Kinaxis Consultant Opportunity
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kinaxis Consultant to join our client’s dynamic team in San Diego, CA. This is an exceptional onsite contract opportunity for a professional with a strong background in manufacturing supply chain management and a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in Kinaxis Demand Planning, Workbooks, and system configuration, playing a pivotal role in optimizing our client’s supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
- Lead and participate in the implementation and optimization of Kinaxis solutions, specifically focusing on Demand Planning modules.
- Design, configure, and maintain Kinaxis Workbooks to meet specific business requirements and enhance planning capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with various stakeholders across different departments, including manufacturing, sales, and operations, to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Translate complex business needs into technical specifications and actionable Kinaxis configurations.
- Coordinate and facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Proactively identify potential issues and risks within the supply chain planning process and propose effective solutions utilizing Kinaxis functionalities.
- Track the progress of requirements from inception to closure, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Provide expert guidance and support to end-users on Kinaxis functionalities and best practices.
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to empower users and foster self-sufficiency.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of supply chain processes and systems.
- Perform data analysis and reporting to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the Kinaxis platform.
- Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Kinaxis product developments and industry trends.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Kinaxis within the organization.
- Document all configurations, processes, and solutions thoroughly.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any Kinaxis-related issues.
- Participate in system testing and validation activities.
- Support post-implementation activities and ongoing system enhancements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Kinaxis Consultant with a strong focus on Demand Planning, Workbooks, and Configuration.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing supply chain management principles and practices.
- Demonstrable experience within the semiconductor industry is highly preferred.
- Ability to effectively coordinate with diverse stakeholders and manage expectations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in capturing, documenting, and tracking business requirements to successful closure.
- Experience with other Kinaxis modules (e.g., Supply Planning, Sales & Operations Planning) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Ability to work onsite in San Diego, CA.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
