The role of a Solution Architect / Senior Developer in Capital Markets is critical for designing, developing, and implementing robust, scalable, and high-performance financial systems. This position demands a blend of deep technical expertise in C#/.NET and C++, coupled with an intricate understanding of the capital markets domain. The successful candidate will be instrumental in translating complex business and regulatory requirements into innovative technical solutions, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge applications that meet the stringent demands of the financial industry.

Key Responsibilities and Impact Areas:

  • Solution Architecture & Design Leadership: Spearhead the design of comprehensive, end-to-end technical solutions that are meticulously aligned with both business objectives and evolving regulatory mandates. This includes developing detailed architecture blueprints and solution designs, ensuring that all applications are built for optimal scalability, performance, and security. The architect will be responsible for transforming abstract business requirements into concrete, actionable technical specifications.
  • Advanced Application Development: Lead and contribute significantly to development initiatives utilizing core technologies such as C#/.NET (including WCF and WPF frameworks) and C++. This involves developing and optimizing high-performance applications that are critical for financial operations. Expertise in relational databases (RDBMS) is essential for effective data modeling, query optimization, and ensuring data integrity across systems. Adherence to best practices in coding, performance tuning, and application security is paramount.
  • Capital Markets Domain Specialization: Apply extensive knowledge and experience within the capital markets, working on vital systems such as trading platforms, risk management solutions, pricing engines, and post-trade processing systems. A deep understanding of market data flows, various financial instruments, and the ability to support regulatory and compliance-related requirements within financial systems are mandatory for this role.
  • Cross-Technology Collaboration & Mentorship: Provide expert guidance and support for integrations, particularly those involving Java/Spring Boot-based systems, which are considered a valuable secondary skill. Collaborate closely with architecture and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions. A key aspect of this role involves mentoring junior developers, conducting thorough code reviews, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement within the team.

Required Technical and Domain Expertise:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in software development and architecture roles, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Exceptional hands-on proficiency in C#/.NET, specifically with WCF and WPF, alongside robust C++ development skills.
  • Extensive experience with RDBMS platforms such as SQL Server and Oracle, including advanced data modeling and query optimization techniques.
  • Proven expertise in solution design and enterprise architecture, with the ability to conceptualize and implement large-scale systems.
  • Mandatory and in-depth experience within the Capital Markets domain, encompassing a broad range of financial products and processes.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a knack for dissecting complex technical challenges and devising effective solutions.

Preferred Secondary Skills:

  • Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot for potential integration projects.
  • Experience in API design and integration, facilitating seamless communication between disparate systems.
  • Exposure to microservices architecture principles and implementation.
