Role Overview: SAP FI/CO Consultant – Remote C2C Contract 2026
We are actively seeking a highly experienced and dedicated SAP FI/CO Consultant to join our team for a critical remote contract engagement. This role is pivotal in leading comprehensive financial process implementation, configuration, and optimization initiatives for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a robust blend of deep finance domain expertise coupled with extensive hands-on experience in SAP implementation projects, particularly those involving ECC to S/4HANA migrations.
As an SAP FI/CO Consultant, you will be instrumental in driving the successful delivery of complex financial solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory compliance. This is a C2C contract opportunity, requiring a consultant who can operate independently and effectively in a remote work environment while collaborating with diverse project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end SAP FI/CO implementation projects, covering core modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, and Profit Center Accounting.
- Drive and optimize critical financial processes, including month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to established timelines.
- Perform detailed configuration of SAP FI/CO modules, including account determination, validations, substitutions, and integration settings to meet specific business requirements.
- Ensure seamless and robust integration of SAP FI/CO with other key SAP modules, including Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Production Planning (PP), to support integrated business processes.
- Actively support and contribute to ECC to S/4HANA migration initiatives, leveraging expertise in both legacy and modern SAP financial landscapes.
- Optimize existing financial processes and implement new functionalities to enhance compliance, improve reporting accuracy, and streamline financial operations.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and client teams, fostering knowledge transfer and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze current processes, and design future-state solutions within the SAP FI/CO framework.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure solution quality and stability.
- Prepare detailed documentation, including functional specifications, configuration guides, and user manuals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP FI/CO issues, providing timely and effective support to end-users.
- Stay abreast of the latest SAP technologies, functionalities, and industry best practices in financial management.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Demonstrable and proven experience in leading at least one full lifecycle SAP FI/CO implementation project or a significant S/4HANA migration initiative from inception to go-live.
- Must have served as a Lead Consultant or Workstream Lead on a minimum of one project, showcasing leadership capabilities and responsibility for key project deliverables.
- Strong, in-depth knowledge of financial integration points with procurement (MM) and sales (SD) modules, understanding the interdependencies and data flows.
- Exceptional ability to articulate and explain complex configuration decisions, their underlying rationale, and their direct business impact to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Candidates must clearly detail the number of full implementations or migrations completed on their professional profile/resume.
- Resumes must explicitly state the role played (e.g., Lead, Workstream Lead, Consultant) in each project.
- Clear differentiation of experience between SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments is essential.
- Ability to confidently discuss and elaborate on all aspects listed on the resume, demonstrating a deep understanding of past responsibilities and achievements.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are paramount for effective client and team interaction.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field is highly preferred.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $170,000 – $250,000 per year (Estimated)
