Overview of the Workday Integration Senior Developer Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Workday Integration Senior Developer to join our team in Culver City, CA. This is an onsite position, and local candidates are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, testing, and deploying complex Workday integrations, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability across various enterprise functions. This role demands a deep understanding of Workday’s integration tools and a proven track record of leading integration projects from conception to successful deployment. You will be instrumental in enhancing our Workday ecosystem, supporting critical business operations across finance, accounting, payroll, and legal departments.

Key Responsibilities and Contributions

  • Integration Design and Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy robust Workday integrations utilizing a comprehensive suite of tools including EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Core Connector, SSK (Solution Starter Kits), XSLT 3.0, and Workday Studio.
  • Workday Ecosystem Management: Develop and maintain Workday dashboards, custom applications, reports, and integrations to meet evolving business needs and enhance user experience.
  • Complex Report Development: Design and develop intricate reports essential for various integrations, ensuring thorough testing and ongoing support to guarantee data accuracy and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution: Proactively troubleshoot and efficiently resolve issues within Workday integrations, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate extensively with key stakeholders across finance, accounting, payroll, and legal departments to define precise business requirements and address pain points, translating them into effective technical solutions.
  • Data and Analytics Strategy: Contribute significantly to and execute the data and analytics strategy specifically for human resources, leveraging Workday’s capabilities to provide actionable insights.
  • System Integration: Integrate Workday with other critical technologies and vendor systems, ensuring smooth data exchange and process automation across the enterprise landscape.
  • Knowledge Capture and Collateral: Actively participate in knowledge capture sessions and contribute to building comprehensive delivery collateral, fostering a culture of shared learning and documentation.
  • Functional Expertise: Provide valuable functional expertise to the Workday product team, contributing to the addition of new features, workflows, and overall system enhancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive Workday Integration Experience: Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with Workday integrations, including proficiency with APIs, EIBs, PECI (Payroll Effective Change Interface), PICOF (Payroll Input/Output Connector Framework), Workday Studio, and Core Connector for Worker. Experience in other areas such as Procure-to-Pay and Accounting integrations is highly valued.
  • Workday Financials Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Workday Financials implementation and integration, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial processes within Workday.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a lead role, successfully managing integration projects from initiation to completion, including team coordination and stakeholder management.
  • Functional Module Understanding: Sound understanding of one or more functional modules within Workday is preferred, showcasing a broader knowledge of the Workday platform.
  • Certifications: Certifications in Integration Core, CCTPP (Certified Core Talent & Performance Practitioner), and Workday Studio are a significant plus, demonstrating specialized expertise.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the proven ability to present complex technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
