Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in the healthcare industry to join our dynamic team. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare systems, software application delivery, and agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in the full software development lifecycle for healthcare applications, from initial concept to deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, Business Operations Leads, and other cross-functional stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Facilitate epic and feature discovery and refinement sessions, meticulously identifying requirements, potential gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Independently drive project tasks forward, making informed decisions and proactively addressing challenges to meet project milestones and objectives.
- Develop comprehensive process and data flow diagrams to clearly articulate technical and business requirements for development and testing teams.
- Communicate effectively with development teams and IT personnel to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and to facilitate smooth implementation.
- Produce and maintain high-quality documentation, including technical specifications, business process flows, and user guides.
- Create and manage field-level mapping spreadsheets and associated documentation for data integration and migration projects.
- Leverage a foundational understanding of programming concepts and a strong knowledge of API usage, documentation standards, data formats, testing tools, and implementation best practices.
- Engage as an active and contributing team member, demonstrating critical thinking, proactive communication, and a commitment to achieving team goals.
- Utilize exceptional written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear and effective engagement with all stakeholders.
- Work within large-scale Agile programs, participating in 3-month planning cycles and executing within 2-week sprint cycles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a significant focus on the healthcare sector.
- Proven experience in Agile environments, including sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives.
- Demonstrated ability to create detailed process flows, data models, and requirement documentation.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in stakeholder management and communication.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in Secure Messaging platforms.
- Experience with building AI Agents.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the office in Hartford, Connecticut. This setup ensures a balance of collaborative in-office work and the flexibility of remote work.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $114,400 – $130,000 per year
