About the Role:

We are seeking a highly specialized OBIEE Consultant for a critical remote engagement with the State of New Hampshire. The primary objective of this role is to lead and execute the migration of the agency’s existing Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) environment to Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). This initiative is crucial for ensuring a complete, secure, and supportable transition, while also facilitating comprehensive knowledge transfer to the Department of Information Technology (DOIT) staff. Candidates must possess a proven track record and deep expertise in OBIEE to OAC migrations, aligning with the detailed responsibilities and deliverables outlined below. Submissions will only be considered for candidates who have demonstrably served as a specialist in this specific migration context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the migration of the agency’s current OBIEE environment to Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), ensuring a seamless and efficient transition.
  • Architect and implement a secure and fully supportable OAC environment post-migration.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive knowledge transfer plan to empower DOIT staff with the necessary skills to manage and maintain the OAC platform.
  • Provide expert guidance and hands-on support throughout the entire migration lifecycle, from planning and execution to validation and go-live.
  • Ensure all migration activities align with State of New Hampshire’s IT security policies and data governance standards.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and project managers, to gather requirements and ensure successful adoption of the new OAC platform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Document all aspects of the migration process, including technical configurations, data mappings, and user guides.
  • Optimize the performance of the OAC environment to ensure efficient data retrieval and reporting.
  • Manage and configure Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including integration with Azure Entra ID, to ensure secure access to OAC.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience specifically with OBIEE to OAC migration projects is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to provide the types of relevant deliverables required for a successful OBIEE to OAC migration.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in OBIEE administration and development, including expertise in RPD, Catalog, and Security configurations.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) architecture and administration.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), including successful integration with Azure Entra ID.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in SQL and data modeling.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience utilizing BI migration tools and automation techniques.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting of BI environments.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in creating comprehensive documentation and conducting effective knowledge transfer sessions.

Special Requirements

OBIEE to OAC migration experience required. Candidates must have served as a specialist in an OBIEE to OAC migration.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $95 per year
