Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data-MDM Architect with a strong background in Business Analysis (BA) and Project Management (PM) to join our team for a long-term contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, architecting, analyzing, implementing, and deploying robust data and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, both on-premises and in the cloud. This role requires close collaboration with diverse business teams and a deep understanding of big data tools and products to create scalable, flexible, and comprehensive data solutions that effectively address complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end technical delivery of medium to large, moderately complex projects, ensuring timely completion with a focus on achieving zero defects.
  • Provide comprehensive planning, estimation, scheduling, prioritization, and coordination of technical activities related to enterprise-wide data solutions, encompassing both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Ensure that all implemented solutions strictly adhere to Enterprise Architecture policies and best practices, and that established process methodologies are consistently followed throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Be accountable to both business and technology management for the complete application scoping, planning, development, and delivery, consistently meeting and exceeding established quality standards.
  • Proactively identify and manage project dependencies and downstream impacts to minimize any adverse effects on other ongoing projects and/or programs.
  • Assist the Project Manager with accurate estimation of technical timelines and the effective allocation of technical resources to specific project tasks.
  • Clearly communicate expectations, roles, and responsibilities to all team members, holding them accountable for meeting defined objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with IT partners to develop a comprehensive capacity plan and ensure the availability of appropriate infrastructure for end-to-end system delivery.
  • Supervise contingent workers, including both onshore and offshore staff, and oversee their daily tasks to ensure productivity and quality.
  • Identify valuable data sources and develop strategies to automate data collection processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of data, which is a critical and highly visible aspect of this position, as it directly impacts supply chain and sales effectiveness, the financial performance of the business, and customer perception through on-time delivery, working capital management, financial reporting accuracy, and product quality.
  • Architect and design master data strategies to drive towards a single, authoritative source of truth across the organization.
  • Regularly monitor and measure the performance of MDM standards to ensure ongoing effectiveness and compliance.
  • Perform detailed problem and trend analyses to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions to improve data quality.
  • Review and approve the execution of all data changes to ensure integrity and control.
  • Track and report project status and progress through the Change Advisory Board (CAB) review process.
  • Develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure they are consistently met.
  • Coordinate and lead data mapping workshops essential for migration projects.
  • Coordinate and actively participate in the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process for all data migrations.
  • Plan and architect Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives and integrations, including those related to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect, MDM Architect, or similar role.
  • Strong experience with MDM tools, particularly Profisee.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • Experience in Business Analysis and Project Management methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days in office).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Experience with big data tools and products.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $75 – $95 per year

Location: Waukesha, WI
