Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP PCS (Production Control & Scheduling) Lead with extensive experience in Aerospace & Defense (A&D) to join our team. This is a remote position requiring candidates to be within EST or CST time zones. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation and configuration of SAP PCS modules, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirement gathering sessions with business process owners to understand and document needs for SAP PCS.
- Fill in the Business-Driven Configuration Assessment questionnaire and develop Workshop A (System Demo and Presentation Deck) based on findings.
- Manage the entire requirements lifecycle, from initial collection to final documentation.
- Perform SAP PCS configuration according to best practices and project documentation standards.
- Document key decisions, process flows, and authorization/security requirements.
- Develop comprehensive test plans for both standard and custom SAP PCS objects.
- Manage change management processes related to SAP PCS implementation.
- Develop and implement reporting solutions for production control and scheduling.
- Leverage S/4HANA experience for modern SAP implementations.
- Apply A&D experience to tailor SAP solutions for the specific needs of the industry.
- Configure Parameter Effectivity, ensuring seamless integration with PLM and MES systems.
- Manage Material Masters, including Classification, MRP, Scheduling, and Costing views.
- Configure Work Centers, Bills of Materials (BoMs), and Routings, including Revision & ECM (Engineering Change Management).
- Oversee the Production Order Lifecycle, from creation to confirmation and goods receipt, including handling MTS (Make-to-Stock) and MTO (Make-to-Order) with WBS elements.
- Implement solutions for External Processing with Subcontracting.
- Manage Production Order Kitting processes.
- Handle Goods Issues and Reversals for Production Orders, including batch-managed items.
- Configure and manage Rework processes and Production Order Splitting.
- Develop and implement solutions for Availability Checking and Shortage reporting.
- Ensure effective integration with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
- Ensure effective integration with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) systems.
- Author functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an SAP PCS Lead or similar role.
- Strong understanding of SAP PCS functionalities, including MBoM, Routing, and Shop Floor Executions.
- Extensive experience in the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry.
- Experience with S/4HANA is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Parameter Effectivity, PLM, and MES integrations.
- Proficiency in Material Master configuration (Classification, MRP, Scheduling, Costing).
- Experience with Work Centers, BoMs, Routings, and ECM.
- In-depth knowledge of Production Order Lifecycle management.
- Experience with External Processing, Subcontracting, and Kitting.
- Understanding of batch management and goods movements.
- Ability to create detailed functional specifications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders.
- Must be located within EST or CST time zones for remote work.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
