Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Infrastructure Project Manager for an urgent, remote, full-time opportunity with our client. This role requires a candidate who is based in the PST time zone and is open to both W2 and C2C employment types. The primary focus will be on managing infrastructure changes within data center environments, ensuring accuracy, and driving projects to completion within defined service level agreements (SLAs). This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to critical data center operations and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Data Center stakeholders to execute change requests for CloudForge (internal AWS rack position inventory and floorplan management system) and Facility Inventory Topology (FIT – power topology data management system).
- Drive the completion of change requests within established SLAs, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of deployed configurations, identifying and tracking exceptions for subsequent follow-up and resolution.
- Support daily operational tasks as an integral part of the overall Data Center Delivery workflow.
- Manage global infrastructure projects and programs, with a focus on inventory or supply chain management systems.
- Understand basic network, server, and power infrastructure to accurately perform data entry and manage changes for complex rack services with varying placement rules.
- Act as a gatekeeper for all global infrastructure data within core data centers, specifically concerning rack floor plan layouts, ensuring configuration, updates, and maintenance are performed according to standards.
- Ensure all support activities comply with Amazon’s security and data governance standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in managing global infrastructure projects/programs.
- Familiarity with inventory or supply chain management systems.
- Understanding of basic network, server, and power infrastructure.
- Experience in data entry and managing changes for complex rack services.
- Ability to configure, update, and maintain global infrastructure data for core data centers.
- Commitment to adhering to security and data governance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and 1+ years of project management experience, OR 5 years of equivalent project management experience.
- 1+ years of experience managing complex technology or infrastructure-related projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with Data Center Infrastructure.
- A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related certification.
- Experience with Supply Chain/Inventory Systems.
- Proficiency in IT Systems Process Mapping.
- Basic familiarity with SQL.
- Experience with junior profiles (4-8 years of experience) is preferred for this role.
Special Requirements
Remote (PST time zone required), Contract C2C/W2 Both, Junior Profiles experience from 4-8 yrs preferred.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $50 – $70 per year
